About Dr. Anderholm: Dr. David Anderholm is the founder of Northern Psychiatric Associates, the mental health clinic of choice in the Brainerd lakes region providing both psychiatric and psychological services for patients of all ages with a staff of 17 clinicians and support staff. Doctor Anderholm completed his undergraduate and graduate school education at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and specialty training at the Mayo Clinic. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a member of the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatrists and a Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr Anderholm is a lifelong Minnesota resident having been born and raised in Rochester as the youngest of five children. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture he spent a year completing research at the Mayo Clinic under the direction of Matt Ames, PhD and at the University of Minnesota under the direction of Jadi Ramen, MD.
After completing his medical studies at the University of Minnesota Medical School he was able to complete his specialty training at the Mayo Clinic with an emphasis in Geriatrics.
