David
Anderholm, MD
A native
of Rochester, Minnesota; Dr. Anderholm attended
the University of Minnesota graduating in 1985
with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Agriculture. After a year of working in the
research labs at the Mayo Clinic, he returned to
the University of Minnesota completing his
medical degree in 1990. He was accepted to the
Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and completed
his Psychiatry residency in 1994.
Dr.
Anderholm is board certified by the American
Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and recently
completed his recertification exams. He's a
Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic
Medicine, an Adjunct Assistant Clinical
Professor at the University of Minnesota and a
member of the American Association of Geriatric
Psychiatrists. He is an associate medical
director at the Grace Unit at St. Joseph's
Medical Center in Brainerd, Minnesota where he
provides both general adult and geriatric
inpatient services. |

Jeanne
Kurtz, PhD, LP
Jeanne
Kurtz, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and has
worked in the mental health field since 1980.
She attended DePauw University and Indiana State
University where she received her BA and MS
degrees and she obtained her doctorate from St.
Louis University. Her practice includes patients
of all ages. She provides counseling for a
variety of issues including depression, anxiety,
life stress and eating issues. She has been
doing psychological evaluations for patients
preparing for bariatric surgery for a number of
years; however, she has specialized with
presurgical assessments and therapy with obese
patients for the past six years. |

Amanda Hintz, MSLP
Amanda Hintz , MSLP,
completed her undergraduate studies at the
College of St Benedict's and her graduate
studies at St. Cloud State University. She is a
Licensed Psychologist in the State of Minnesota.
She has extensive experience in working with
both children and adults and moderates the
"Parentworks" parenting group for Crow Wing
County Human Services. Most recently, Amanda
moderates a womens group called INSIGHT that
focuses on issues related to depression and

Melissa
Virnig, MS, RN, CNP
Melissa
Virnig completed her studies at the College of
St. Scholastica and is a Board Certified
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of
Minnesota. She has worked in most areas of
nursing starting out in high school as a nursing
home aide. She does extensive hospital based
work in addition to skilled nursing facility
rounds and an outpatient practice. She sees
adult patients age 18 and older. |

LaPlant, MS, RN, CNP
Vicky
LaPlant completed her studies at The College of
St. Scholastica and is a Board Certified
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of
Minnesota. She has extensive experience in
working with serious and persistent mental
illness both in the public and private sector.
Her practice includes extensive hospital based
work in addition to skilled nursing facility
rounds and an outpatient practice. She sees
adult patients age 18 and older. |

Cindy Ycaza Stroschein,
PhD, CRC, LP
Cindy
Ycaza Stroschein is a licensed psychologist and
a board-certified rehabilitation counselor. She
adopted the Brainerd Lakes area as her home in
1993 after living several years in Oslo, Norway;
Warner Robins, Georgia; and Miami, Florida. She
has an MS degree in Special
Education/Rehabilitation Counseling from Utah
State University and a Ph.D. in Counseling
Psychology from Capella University. Her practice
includes patients age 16 and older. She provides
assessment and counseling for issues including
depression, anxiety, stress, health and
disability concerns, and school/work issues. She
specializes in working with students, and with
adults who experience chronic health issues. |
